Late Large-flowered Group (1836 Von Siebold) – Creamy white tepals surround a prominent mass of purple stamens, creating a very regal looking 4-in. flower. As we mentioned above, the florida varieties can be tempermental and are not recommended for beginning clematis growers. Flowers summer to autumn. (Click inset to enlarge.)
